The Jewel Tone Forest House:
A Maximalist Ode to Organic Brutalism
Year : 2024
Interior Design
Inspired by : Mid-Century Modern, Brutalist Biomimicry, and Stained Glass Minimalism
A rich and bold living room inside a modern forest home combining ’70s nostalgia with futuristic organic design. The space uses deep jewel tones, natural materials, and artistic stained glass to create a warm, maximalist atmosphere.
This design blends mid-century style with organic brutalism and biomimicry. Walnut and oak wood add warmth and texture, while concrete walls with natural shapes bring a raw, sculptural feel. Hidden fluted doors create smooth, continuous walls. Stained glass windows add color and subtle light effects. The layout is maximalist but carefully planned to feel calm and intentional.
